The Runway Café, set within the historic Shuttleworth estate, welcomes thousands of visitors each year who stop in to enjoy freshly prepared food and drink after exploring the working Collection of aircraft and vehicles, Regency garden and scenic grounds. To support its fast-paced kitchen environment, Smeg supplied the café with two professional dishwashers designed for intensive use and outstanding wash results.
About The Runway Cafe
Located at the heart of the Shuttleworth Collection and Swiss Garden, the Runway Café offers visitors a welcoming space to enjoy freshly made meals, drinks, and baked goods while overlooking the live grass airfield.
Shuttleworth is known for its stellar annual air show season, remarkable Collection of airworthy vintage aircraft, classic cars, motorbikes and the beautifully maintained Swiss Garden and wider parkland, which attracts families, aviation enthusiasts and tourists throughout the year.
Professional Dishwashing
With a kitchen that runs continuously during peak hours, the Runway Café relies on high-performance, dependable equipment to keep operations smooth. To meet the demands of a busy service, the café has installed two Smeg Professional dishwashers.
The SPH615S -Topline Hood-type dishwasher tackles larger loads and bulky cookware, making it the go-to solution during high-demand periods. Complementing it, the SPD512SUK - Topline Front-Loading Dishwasher handles quick, continuous cycles, perfect for keeping up with the steady flow of plates, cups, and glassware throughout the day.
Both machines are part of Smeg’s Professional Topline range, known for durability, energy efficiency, and ease of use.
